Kartitsch is a mountaineering village with endless possibilities:
romantic walks, alpine hikes, summit tours, climbing routes and panoramic trails between the Carnic Alps and the Dolomites.
Whether on foot, with the mountain railroad, by mountain bike or leisurely by e-bike – you can reach numerous huts, viewpoints and natural spots without stress and without a hectic pace.
Tennis, soccer, fishing and the nearby Drau cycle path also offer a variety of activities. Culture, customs and museums round off the offer.

Winter vacation - where natural snow and silence are at home
Kartitsch is considered one of the most snow-sure regions in the Southern Alps – perfect for anyone looking for cross-country skiing, downhill skiing or simply winter peace and quiet.
Cross-country skiing:
60 km of perfectly groomed trails, access just a few steps from the hotel.
Highlight: the 10 km long high-altitude trail at 2,000 m with a fantastic panorama.
Skiing:
Family-friendly ski areas directly in the village, low frequency, fair prices.
The Dolomite ski areas are only a few kilometers away.
